Is a locked article on Wikipedia acceptable for use in a college research paper?

I you go to wikipedia, got to an article. click on the first link in the actual article not in parenthesis, and keep clicking on the 1st link on whatever article comes up. I will eventually lead to philosophy no matter what article yo start with wierd huh?

I have heard all this talk saying that anyone and edit any article on Wikipedia. This is the case for most articles but on an article such as “FDR” there is no edit link. Are some of the larger articles unable to be edited?

I am trying to submit my own article on Wikipedia. All it will allow me to do is edit other articles and then that gets deleted anyway. I am staying w/ in the guidelines and definetely am not writing anything innaproriate. Does anyone have any advice for me?
