In perfect competition, no one earns any excess profits, there are no fixed costs, and moving in and out of the industry is costless. There are actually no examples of perfect competition in real life, but I would look for examples where people can pick up and drop their businesses without much planning, and where they don’t have a lot invested in the business. These are likely to be individuals or at most small groups of people, since once you start coordinating larger groups, there are significant overhead costs involved. It’s not going to be easy, there are few businesses that don’t require some initial investment to start, but you might be able to find something that gets close. Good luck! - How do I know if the article is about perfect competition in economy?
